PooPal makes it easy to enjoy a walk without carrying dog poop with you the entire time. And it gives you the peace of mind that you won't forget to pick it back up on the way home.

Bag the poop.
Place it out of the way of others.
Open your iPhone and tap the PooPal Widget to create a PooPal Reminder.
Enjoy your walk.
On your way home, PooPal will notify you when you get within a thousand feet of the dog poop.
Return to the poop, pick it up, and dispose of it accordingly. </aside>

Why I Made PooPal

I was on a short hike out to a beach on the Sandy River near Portland. It's an out-and-back trail and when Bird took a poop I didn't want to stuff it into my Camelbak next to my lunch and beach towel. Instead, I set it off to the side of the trail and told myself I'd remember to pick it up on the way back - which I did.

I remembered the poop because I spent a good hour at the river talking with my buddy about how much easier my life would be if I didn't have to remember the poop. What if I could just get a friendly reminder? Enter PooPal.

This is my boy Bird. He's a rescue and 98% pure-bred Little Brother.

I've been using some variation of the PooPal Shortcut for about a month on walks around the neighborhood, short walks to the cafe, bar, or other places where its nice not to have poop on me. Turns out that's a lot of places. Maybe you'll find PooPal handy too.
